Their business model is more short-term. They put the money in and they build it up and go to sell it and everybody goes and does something else.

“That’s not what the relationship is between our families. It goes back 30-some-odd years. Even though it’s different families, it’s a family business. That’s the nature of our relationship. And to me it’s something that does distinguish us not from everybody but from a lot of companies in this business in that there’s a long-term, stable relationship that’s seen some ups and downs. But it’s still standing. Principals

Steve Layton, President:  Mr. Layton has served as President of E&B since 2000. During his career, Mr. Layton has been actively involved in building and managing several oil and gas companies including two that were acquired by Francesco Galesi in 2000 along with E&B Natural Resources.  Mr. Layton is a member of the National Petroleum Council, the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Independent Oil and Gas Association and the Board of the California Independent Petroleum Association. Mr. Layton has also served as a Director and as Governor of the Houston Region for the Independent Petroleum Association of America and as President of the National Stripper Well Association. Mr. Layton earned a BS and MBA from the University of Tulsa.

Francesco Galesi: Founded in 1969 by Mr. Francesco Galesi, the Galesi Group purchased and transformed surplus military depots in upstate New York, converting them into major industrial parks, and leading Mr. Galesi into the warehousing and distribution business.  Mr Galesi expanded and diversified with the acquisition and development of additional real estate holdings, including residential and commercial sites, the acquisition and restoration of the historic Equinox Resort in Manchester, VT, and ownership in E&B Natural Resources Management Corporation.  Mr. Galesi's work has earned him the Presidential Award of Achievement for his contribution to the economic development of the United States
